Holidays in Cornwall, work starts on a new gallery and activities on the Elliott 803

After a bit of rewiring and brute force the server area air conditioning is now working, we now have 4 ICL 2966 disc drives powered up and Graham demostrated a punch card sorter working.

Air conditioning for server room installed (almost) and the new archive shelving is fitted and filled with boxes.

We finally received the 40 column punch card equipment and IBM 1130 from Liverpool, we had a smashing day for the museum BBQ and Monday was our busiest day this year

The archive room preparation is completed, the server cabinets are reorganised to improve the working area and we receive a donation of an Intellec 4004 development system.

We had an official opening of the PC gallery on Thursday and a visit from the Wolverhampton Linux User Group on Saturday.

We have a new phone system fitted, IRIS is once again showing it's stuff and a new information board is fitted in the reception area

The gremlins are back and IRIS fails to start up again, we open the shop and make our first sale and some new pictures are put on the walls.

This week was quiet compared to recent ones with normal museum activities being the order of the day. We did get a few nice donations though.

It was a very long weekend with the museum opening every day over Easter, IRIS is working again and we have new signs for the museum entrance.
