| Colossus may resemble a telephone exchange - and that's no coincidence. The original was designed by Tommy Flowers, a telephone engineer in the 1940s with the then GPO (General Post Office). |

| In July 2011, Her Majesty The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh met Tony and saw Colossus. The Queen had made a special request to see Colossus - and she was delighted to meet George (see below), who managed to stagger, but struggled to bow . |
