Jake the Snake raises over £5k for TNMOC

Jake Irwin gallantly donned boxing gloves for TNMOC and raised a fantastic £5,600 for the new Colossus Gallery in a white collar boxing match.

Very many thanks to Jake - and doubtless more thanks from visitors to the Colossus gallery (where refurbishment continues, but already is looking great for its daily stream of visitors.)

Here's a report from Ash about Jake Irwin's brave fundraising venture You can still support Jake here.

Jake the Snake Irwin competed for The Third Space White Collar Squad at a charity event at the Brewery.

Jake boxed smartly from the first bell, grabbing the centre of the ring and using fast combinations to keep his opponent at bay.

The Snake stepped it up in the second round taking the fight to his opponent landing the cleaner shots and forcing the referee to administer a standing count. His opponent came out fighting in the third and after some initial success the Snake once again gained the upper hand ultimately leading to a clear points decision for the fighter from The Third Space.

Congratulations Jake!

Ash and his Squad would like to say a big thank you to Gareth Cole for his work as their strength and conditioning coach.

Who can match that?

** Asti Byro and David McClelland are giving it a go next -- not boxing, but trekking in Asti's Bloody Challenge II.**
