D-Day - stepping back in time

Post this page to popular social media

D-Day will be remembered at TNMOC on Sunday 4 June 2017 with the help of Home Guard re-enactors, 1940s vehicles, Vickers gun emplacement - and of course the working rebuild Colossus which played such an important part by helping to decrypt Hitler's messages to reveal where the German army was expecting the landings to happen.

A radio team will be using callsign GB1SOE operating a Second World War National HRO receiver and a replica Whaddon MK III transmitter. Using morse code, they will operate in the 40 metre amateur band hoping to make many contacts on continental Europe.

Step back in time to get a sense of the atmosphere. Milton Keynes residents can have discounted family tickets.
