Colossus, the code-breaking computer that was kept secret for decades, still generates awe and inspiration. On 7 December 2017 starting at 6.30pm, Phil Hayes tells the story of the reconstruction.

Colossus Rebuild Chief Engineer Phil Hayes joined the Colossus Rebuild team in 2000. Six years previously, in 1994, decades after the last Colossus stopped working, Tony Sale and his team embarked on what turned out to be a 14-year reconstruction with the bare minimum of information. Today, the Colossus Rebuild functions - how did they achieve that? Phil Hayes tells the inside story of the hunt for clues and documentation.
