What you will do and learn
Exciting coding and electronics workshop perfect for beginners young or older. Come and have a go, very accessible text based coding and physical control.
Learn how engaging and fun coding can be, using basic commands and electronics. You will write simple programs, wire-up an LED and a light sensor and control a robot arm.

What you need
Simply book your place and attend. All kit required for the workshop will be provided to you by FUZE. You will have the opportunity to purchase your own kit after the workshop from our museum shop.

Who the workshop is for
The workshop is suitable for anyone over the age of 7, however anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Summary of costs
Entry to the workshop for one adult and child.
Entry into the museum and Bytes Festival for the adult and child included in the price.
Additional entrance tickets to the museum and Bytes Festival only can be purchased online or on the day.


Minecraft Workshop – 4 April

What will you do and learn?
You will need to learn how to build, craft and problem solve to survive in Minecraft. This is your opportunity to learn how.
Join us for a brief workshop introducing participants and their parents to Minecraft and see if you can complete our challenge.
Participants will have access to a device each to take part using a secure Minecraft server.

Lego Mindstorms – 6 April

What you will do and learn
It’s a race to the finish. Build and programme your own fully functioning Lego Mindstorms Robot and be the first to complete our obstacle course. On your marks, get set, go! Participants will have access to a Lego Mindstorm Kit and laptop to programme their creation.

What you need
Simply book your place and attend. Participants will have access to a Lego Mindstorm Kit and laptop to programme their creation.

Who the workshop is for
The workshop is suitable for all ages, however anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Summary of costs
The workshop is limited to 15 persons.
The fee for the workshop includes entry to the museum and Bytes Festival activities for one adult and one child for the day.
Additional entrance tickets for the museum can be purchased online or on the day.
