Group visits are tailored to the time that the group has available and tours are conducted by highly experienced and trained guides. Groups from many different organisations such as the University of the Third Age, societies, and private groups of friends visit the museum.
Corporate events at the museum take many forms:
All events are individually tailored to suit the requirements of the organiser and their objectives. All events use The National Museum of Computing galleries and displays with their working exhibits as key attractions. Delegates gain knowledge and insights about their digital heritage and gain perspectives from the past to give context to the present and stimulate ideas for the future.
Corporate visitors have standard or customised tours of the museum to see the ongoing development of computing from the 1940s to the present day. These tours are led by our experienced guides and normally include seeing a working rebuild of the world’s first modern computer, Colossus, the world’s oldest working digital computer, the Bombe, the Enigma codebreaker, the 1950s Harwell Dekatron / WITCH, computers of the 1960s-1980s, the development of microcomputers, personal computers and handhelds from the 1980s to the present, and an explanation of the technology of the internet in the NPL gallery.
Facilities include a 40-seater (in theatre style) meeting room with facilities including three large screens and wi-fi throughout the museum. The room can be configured in various formats including board room.
Finger-buffet lunches and refreshments can be provided and The National Museum of Computing shop also provides souvenirs of any visit.

... sincere thanks to you and your team for such an incredible “show and tell” session at The National Museum of Computing. The feedback afterwards was fantastic and, in one case the comment was “this made my day – fantastic!!
The National Museum of Computing presenters who talked us through the history and exhibits during our whistle stop tour of the museum have a wealth of knowledge of their various subjects and present to visitors with obvious enjoyment and enthusiasm.
It was amazing to see what you have done. Please pass on our thanks to all the people who made it such an informative event.
... our delegates were all enthralled and had the most wonderful day. I am indebted to you for fitting us in at short notice.
Thank you very much for your superb guided tour ... your explanations, enthusiasm and expertise really brought the tour alive."
