The National Museum of Computing has some new 3D printing resources for non-specialist teachers – all made possible thanks to a grant from “The Age of Revolution”.

The resources have been developed for non-specialist teachers of Key Stage 2 students who would like to start 3D printing.

Working with Virtual School MK and Padbury Primary School (before lockdown) we held pilot sessions to trial workshops and resources aimed at developing these 3D printing resources.

The Age of Revolution is a digital collection looking at the time span 1775-1848. This was a time of seismic change and they bring together objects and artworks from museums and galleries across the UK, together with fascinating facts, information, and curriculum-linked ideas to help bring this extraordinary period to life. The focus of our project was to use 3D printers help students explore campaigning and social change.

Following our February 2020 workshops, the museum has created the following resource sheets for non-specialist teachers with Key Stage 2 students in mind.
