What is a Turing Machine?
In 1936, Alan Turing published his paper ‘On Computable Numbers’. In it, he invented the concept of a programmable machine – now known as the Turing Machine. It is the baseline from which the science of computing and all modern computers trace their origins.
To mark the extraordinary idea of the Turing Machine, The National Museum of Computing has issued the Computable90 Turning Machine challenge
