Delay line storage in EDSAC - pick your poison

EDSAC depended upon delay lines for main store and internal registers. This originally used mercury but due to cost and safety considerations, nickel delay lines will be used instead.

Professor Peter Linington explains how he researched the construction of nickel delay lines and set about manufacturing them for the EDSAC reconstruction.
