The National Museum of Computing wins 2026 Sandford Award

We're absolutely thrilled to announce that The National Museum of Computing is one of the winners of the 2026 Sandford Award.

Since 1978, the Sandford Award has been one of the most respected benchmarks of quality in the heritage learning sector. Independently assessed and expert-led, this award validates the high-quality, engaging, and inclusive learning experiences we strive to deliver to schools, students, and visitors every single day.

Achieving this award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our incredible education team, volunteers, and staff who bring computing history to life. The detailed assessment process doesn't just celebrate what we have achieved, it gives us independent validation and practical tools to keep improving and inspiring the next generation of tech innovators.

A massive thank you to the Heritage Education Trust and the Sandford Award assessors, and an even bigger thank you to our community for supporting us on this journey, and of course thank you and congratulations to our team who worked so hard to secure this prestigious accolade.
